An open-source emoji set originally created by Twitter, providing SVG and PNG emoji assets that can be used in any project.

Twemoji (Twitter Emoji) was released as open source in 2014 under CC-BY 4.0 and MIT licenses. It quickly became one of the most widely used emoji sets outside of native platform emoji, adopted by Discord, Mastodon, and many websites.

After Twitter's acquisition and rebranding to X, the future of Twemoji became uncertain, though the existing open-source versions remain freely available. The community has continued maintaining forks.

Twemoji's flat, clean design style makes it versatile for web and app use. The SVG format ensures crisp rendering at any size.
