हँसते हँसते लोट-पोट होना

More extreme in tone than the closely related Face with Tears of Joy, Rolling on the Floor Laughing shows a face tilted onto its side, eyes crossed shut, crying tears of uncontrollable laughter. Encoded at U+1F923, it was a later arrival, joining the repertoire with Unicode 9.0 and Emoji 3.0 in 2016. Placed in the face-smiling subcategory of Smileys & Emotion, it corresponds to the abbreviation ROFL and marks something as absolutely hilarious. The sideways tilt distinguishes it visually from other laughing faces and suggests physically doubling over. It appears across platforms with the same tears-of-laughter motif and needs no joiner or modifier to display.

The हँसते हँसते लोट-पोट होना emoji (🤣) is 1F923, encoded in Unicode 3.0.

हँसते हँसते लोट-पोट होना was released in Emoji 3.0 (2016).
